Hohm Family

About a year ago, one of my roommates, Julia, and I heard that the church we grew up at had hired a new youth pastor and that he was going to be doing amazing things for the student ministries. Before we knew it, we were having coffee with Jon learning about his plan for student ministries and Julia and I wanted in. We began to lead a life group for 9th and 10th grade girls and it has been a hugeadventure, so much larger than either of us could have anticipated. Over the next few months, Julia and I got to know Jon and his family-- we got to hang out and play Wii with his kids and I got to build forts with Owen and Rayna for four hours a few weeks back. And then in February, Jon, Kelli, Owen, Rayna and the soon to be Paisley picked up their lives and uprooted to Northfield, Minnesota to plant a church with a group of other devoted believers. Before leaving, Jon was talking about listening to the gut feeling that God gives us--the feeling that you're supposed to do something incredibly scary and seemingly unbelievable for God. I can't agree and be humbled more by this lifestyle that they are living out.
I am so happy and excited to share the Hohm family with you.

And finally, us.
I'm starting to get photos with all the wonderful people I work with-I think it's so important to be able to actually see your role as an artist, as a creator with those who you get to photograph and tell their stories.
